The United States Census Bureau estimates that the population was 2,645,209 as of July 1, 2012, an increase of +4.00% since the 2010 United States Census, and ranking as the 21st most populous metropolitan statistical area of the United States.
Regal Entertainment Group, abbreviated REG, is a movie theater chain headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee. Regal operates the largest and most geographically diverse theater circuit in the United States, consisting of 7,334 screens in 575 locations in 42 states along with Guam, Saipan, American Samoa and the District of Columbia as of September 26, 2013. The three main theatre brands operated by Regal Entertainment Group are Regal Cinemas, Edwards Theatres, and United Artists Theatres.
These chains retain their exterior signage, but most indoor branding (popcorn bags, policy trailers) uses the Regal Entertainment Group name and logo. Where applicable, the REG logo is used alongside the three individual brands. The 16th Street Mall is a pedestrian and transit mall in Denver, Colorado. The mall, 1.25 miles (2 kilometers) long, runs along 16th Street in downtown Denver, from Wewatta Street (at Union Station) to the intersection of 16th Avenue and Broadway (at Civic Center Station). It is home to over 300 locally owned/chain stores, over 50 restaurants, and the Denver Pavilions.
The Great Mall of Las Vegas was a proposed $750M shopping mall in northwestern Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, shelved in 2009. The project was promoted by Triple Five Nevada, an affiliate of the Triple Five Group, the developers of other very large mall projects such as the Mall of America and West Edmonton Mall. The mall was to contain a large shopping center, condominiums, and office space.
The mall was to be located on a 50 acres (20 ha) parcel that would contain a 3-story shopping structure with 1,200,000 sq ft (110,000 m2), 100,000 sq ft (9,300 m2) of which was office space, and contain a pair of 200 ft (61 m) tall condominium towers with over 800 housing units. The mall was to be co-anchored by a Dillard's and Macy's with a combined square footage of 450,000 sq ft (42,000 m2), along with a Regal Cinemas theater. Construction on the mall was scheduled to begin in early 2008 and be completed in either August 2009 or May 2010, depending on scheduling, with condominium residents moving in in 2010 or 2011 The mall was to contain both indoor and outdoor retail spaces, and a 15,000 sq ft (1,400 m2) indoor park with fountains, grass and benches. It would have been the first indoor mall completed in the Las Vegas Valley since the Galleria Mall opened in 1995.
Treasure Coast Square is a shopping mall in Jensen Beach, Florida, USA. It comprises more than 120 stores, including anchor stores Dillard's, JCPenney, Macy's and Sears, as well as a food court and Regal 16-screen movie theater. The mall is managed by Simon Property Group, and opened in 1987.
Entertainment is a form of activity that holds the attention and interest of an audience, or gives pleasure and delight. It can be an idea or a task, but is more likely to be one of the activities or events that have developed over thousands of years specifically for the purpose of keeping an audience's attention. Although people's attention is held by different things, because individuals have different preferences in entertainment, most forms are recognisable and familiar. Storytelling, music, drama, dance, and different kinds of performance exist in all cultures, were supported in royal courts, developed into sophisticated forms and over time became available to all citizens. The process has been accelerated in modern times by an entertainment industry which records and sells entertainment products. Entertainment evolves and can be adapted to suit any scale, ranging from an individual who chooses a private entertainment from a now enormous array of pre-recorded products; to a banquet adapted for two; to any size or type of party, with appropriate music and dance; to performances intended for thousands; and even for a global audience.
