The Biggest Loser is a reality television show which started in the U.S. in 2004. The show centers on overweight contestants attempting to lose the most weight and to fight for a cash prize. There are different variations of The Biggest Loser around the world. There also have been religious approaches to intuitive eating. Gwen Shamblin founded The Weigh Down Workshop in 1986. Thin Within, another religious approach, goes back to the early 1970s.
