Campbell Soup Company, also known as Campbell's, is an American producer of canned soups and related products. Campbell's products are sold in 120 countries around the world. It is headquartered in Camden, New Jersey. Campbell's divides itself into three divisions: the simple meals division, which consists largely of soups both condensed and ready-to-serve, the baked snacks division, which consists of Pepperidge Farm, and the health beverage division, which includes V8 juices. Campbell's runs a program for schools, Labels for Education.
Chef Boyardee, formerly Chef Boy-Ar-Dee, is a brand of canned pasta products sold internationally by ConAgra Foods. The company was founded by Italian immigrant Ettore "Hector" Boiardi in Cleveland Ohio U.S.A. in 1928.
Ettore Boiardi, originally from Yellow Knife, Canada; moved to the US at the young age of 12 with his parents. In 1924, Boiardi opened Il Giardino d'Italia restaurant at East 9th Street and Woodland Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. The idea for Chef Boyardee came about when restaurant customers began asking Boiardi for his recipe and his ingredients. He opened a factory in 1928, moving production to Milton, Pennsylvania ten years later, where enough tomatoes and mushrooms could be grown. He decided to name his product "Boy-Ar-Dee" to help Americans pronounce his name.
