Evan Michael Longoria (born October 7, 1985) is a Major League Baseball third baseman for the Tampa Bay Rays. Formerly, Longoria was a star infielder for the Long Beach State University baseball team, the 2005 Cape Cod League MVP, and the 2006 Big West Co-Player of the Year.
He made his major league debut for the Rays in 2008, and was named to the American League team for the 2008 MLB All Star Game. Longoria was also named the 2008 American League Rookie of the Year on November 10. Longoria had one of the biggest hits in Rays history when he hit a walk-off home run in extra innings of the last game of the 2011 season, snapping a tie with the Red Sox in the race for the American League wildcard spot and sending his team into the post season. This home run won a GIBBY award for the best walk off home run of the 2011 season.
Eileen Shields (Born 1970 in New York) is a footwear designer and owner of the EILEEN SHIELDS label and the Dublin-based store/gallery “5 Scarlet Row”. She has been a featured designer at Harvey Nichols in London and Hong Kong, and at Brown Thomas in Dublin and Cork.
Eileen is most noted for her "Bette" shoes being worn by Eva Longoria's character on Desperate Housewives which had originally aired April 8, 2007. Shields has custom-made shoes for Bono and P.J. Harvey, and counts Halle Berry, Eva Longoria, Samantha Morton, Courteney Cox Arquette, Drew Barrymore and Andie MacDowell amongst her many fans.
Paola Michelle Longoria López (born July 20, 1989) is a Mexican racquetball player. She's the current International Racquetball Federation World Champion in singles and doubles, the first player to win both. Longoria is also the #1 player on the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) tour, and was the first Mexican woman to attain the #1 ranking on doing so at the end of the 2008-09 season. She repeated the feat at the end of 2009-2010 season, and regained that status during the 2011-12 season. Longoria's style is characterized by a semi-western grip of the racquet, which is unusual for racquetball; Longoria is the only pro player using this grip style.
